The International Renewable Energy Conference (IREC) took place in Mexico from 11-13 September 2017. It held a series of high-level conferences on policies to promote worldwide development of renewable energy.

Every two years, the signatories to the Convention on Biological Diversity (CBD) meet during the Conference of the Parties (COP) to discuss how the preservation of biological diversity and its equitable and sustainable use can be advanced around the world.

From October 4-7, 2015, South Africa hosted the SAIREC 2015 in Cape Town. The conference provided a platform to address chances and potentials of renewable energy. It was for government officials and high-level decision makers from public and private sector institutions and NGOs.
