Adapting to Climate Change and Conserving Biological Diversity

As of: January 2022

The project supported the development of national strategies for the adaptation to climate change and conservation of biodiversity, and implemented appropriate pilot measures. To this end, it worked closely with relevant government bodies, local authorities, the private sector and civil society. The project strengthened existing structures such as the Secretariat of the Climate Change Commission by providing intensive consultancy services and training schemes. It financed specific measures to preserve biodiversity as part of small-scale projects. The project also raised awareness within government agencies and the general public on all aspects of climate change.
