Credit Programme for Energy Efficiency in Ukraine
As of: January 2021
The Credit Programme for Energy Efficiency offered financing for investments that led to energy savings of approximately 20% per project. The programme was raising awareness among banks and potential borrowers on the topic of energy efficiency in order to make investments in Ukraine more attractive. There is high energy-saving potential in small and medium-sized enterprises as well as private households in Ukraine. However, the low level of energy efficiency awareness among the population and enterprises, along with limited access to long-term financing opportunities, are obstacles to harnessing this potential.
