Forest Landscape Restoration in Central Kalimantan: A new opportunity for farmers, the industry and the construction sector

06/2021 | Study

This study details how reforestation with fast-growing trees can be accomplished by smallholders and in commercial set-ups and describes the climate, biodiversity and income benefits of the trees as well as lightwood products and their potential for the Indonesian wood-processing sector. The study draws on the project results and the experiences from Fairventures’ implementation of the first commercial scaling case to provide recommendations on how to transfer and scale-up the project results.
