The CRED Sectoral Policy Brief on Economy-wide Effects of Adaptation in Infrastructure in Kazakhstan presents macroeconomic implications of investments in exemplary climate change adaptation measures in the infrastructure sector, namely the (re-)construction of storm-proofed buildings, ‘Green Belt’ mass afforestation and (re-)construction of climate resilient roads. The results show that investing in the (re-)construction of climate resilient roads leads to GDP increases of up to 0.46% per year.
