Agricultural Insurance in Peru - Good Practices in the context of climate change

Agricultural insurances are an important instrument for the agricultural sector's development, especially in the context of climate change. In case of extreme weather events such as droughts or floodings, agricultural insurances take over the risk of crop losses. In this way, they stabilise farmers' income and guarentuee the continuity of their work. During the past five years, the IKI project "Integrated financial management of climate risks in the agricultural sector in Peru" (CAT) has gained numerous insights and experiences with agricultural insurance, which the project has recapped in this video.
