Gender and Waste Nexus: Experiences from Bhutan, Mongolia and Nepal

Gender inequalities and norms are embedded in almost every aspect of waste management, leading to a gendered division of labour. Yet, currently, most waste management policies are gender blind. The video series “Gender and Waste Nexus”, launched by UNEP International Environmental Technology Centre, introduces voices of women and men from Bhutan, Mongolia and Nepal on the issues of gender in waste management and how to empower women.
