Irrigation projects in Ethiopia

Small farmers south of the Sahara are increasingly seeing their harvests devastated by droughts and flash floods. In Ethiopia, some 80 percent of the population is affected. It's sharing sustainable farming know-how and providing technical support, with engineers training not only farmers but also staff from the ministry for agriculture. Together, they've set up small-scale irrigation systems in four different locations.
