Living and researching in a sustainable way: an International Climate Protection fellow from Argentina

For Ana Karol from Argentina, sustainability is important not only in her work, but also in her day-to-day life. As an International Climate Protection fellow of the Alexander von Humboldt Foundation, she conducted research at the University of Freiburg on strategies for adapting to climate change in her home country. The best source of inspiration for her work and for the integration of sustainability into her day-to-day life in Argentina is the ‘green city’ of Freiburg with its climate-friendly environment, extensive cycling infrastructure and zero-energy buildings.

The Alexander von Humboldt Foundation has been supporting young researchers and managers from developing and emerging countries with its International Climate Protection Fellowship since 2009. The programme is financed by the International Climate Initiative (IKI) of the German Environment Ministry (BMUB). The video was produced by the Alumniportal Deutschland.
