Climate Economics

As of: April 2018

Objective and activities

This project was supporting a bilateral exchange with political decision-makers and economists in the People’s Republic of China in order to incorporate economic and environmental strategies for transitioning to a low-carbon economy into China’s political decision-making processes. To this end, the project was working with a bilateral working group, which was established by the German and Chinese Governments in 2009 to implement the joint climate agreement, and with the liaison office in Beijing. Its tasks included brokering between the worlds of science and politics, preparing technical contributions, organising events, liaising with delegations and processing results.
