Placing Integrated Experts with Priority Partners of BMU in Developing and Newly Industrialising Countries in Order to Build Capacity in Relation to Climate-Relevant Issues

Objective and activities

So far, CIM sent six experts to partner institutions in various countries worldwide as part of this project. Further deployments are planned. The so-called 'integrated experts' develop knowledge on climate-relevant topics in the institutions. Through local employment contracts, they are closely integrated into the structures of the partner organisation. The employer pays a local salary and the project provides a subsidy to bring it in line with market standards. The experts work directly with the local employees in the countries, provide them with further training and share their technical and methodological knowledge as well as their contacts to international stakeholders.
