Placing Integrated Experts with Priority Partners of BMU in Developing and Newly Industrialising Countries in Order to Build Capacity in Relation to Climate-Relevant Issues

As of: June 2019

Objective and activities

Eight experts were sent by CIM to partner institutions in various countries worldwide as part of this project (CHL, COL, KAZ, MDV, MEX, UGA, VNM). The so-called 'integrated experts' developed knowledge on climate-relevant topics in the institutions. Through local employment contracts, they were closely integrated into the structures of the partner organisation. The employer paid a local salary and the project provided a subsidy to bring it in line with market standards. The experts worked directly with the local employees in the countries, provided them with further training and shared their technical and methodological knowledge as well as their contacts to international stakeholders.
