Scaling Up Mountain Ecosystem-based Adaptation: building evidence, replicating success, and informing policy

As of: May 2018

Objective and activities

The project aims to scale up Ecosystem based Adaptation EbA as a means to build climate-change resilience, reduce disaster risk and promote adaptation in mountains, benefiting mountain people directly and also millions downstream. The project builds on the previous project on mountain ecosystem EbA and will yield long-term evidence and lessons; extracting that knowledge and evidence. Local capacities will be built and successful approaches replicated. These experiences will also feed into local and adaptation plans and policies (inter alia NDCs, NAPs) and inform international forums (UNFCCC, CBD, UNISDR).
