What drives International Climate Protection fellows?

By clicking on the video, you will change the context of this page.

'The hurricane crippled the economy for six months', 'the poorest of the poor are the worst affected', 'when I was a child, climate protection meant caring for nature'. International Climate Protection fellows from Mexico, Nepal, Peru and Viet Nam discuss how climate change affects their home countries, what inspires them as young people to be actively involved and pursue research in this field, and how they think climate protection could and should work.

The Alexander von Humboldt Foundation has been supporting young researchers and managers from developing and emerging countries with its International Climate Protection Fellowship since 2009. The programme is financed by the International Climate Initiative (IKI) of the German Environment Ministry (BMUB). Media and communication students at the Martin Luther University Halle-Wittenberg made the video as part of a project.
