In February 2017, for the second time, the IKI Programme Office will be offering training for national and international grant recipients. The IKI Programme Office will provide guidance on the legal, administrative and financial requirements for IKI funding. Practical examples will illustrate form and content of the funding application, as well as the proper procedures for filing reports. During the trainings, participants will have the opportunity to share their experiences, to network and to address specific questions to the IKI Programme Office.
The Federal Ministry for the Environment, Nature Conservation, Building and Nuclear Safety (BMUB) invites interested parties annually to take part in a call for proposals, in which projects are selected for funding from the IKI. The first step in entering this procedure is to submit a project outline. If approved, a formal funding application will then have to be submitted. After a thorough evaluation, the BMUB decides whether to fund the project.
Administrative requirements for the entire project cycle
Implementing a project with IKI funding entails certain administrative requirements which may present a challenge for many organisations. For this reason, in February 2017 the IKI Programme Office will, for the first time, be offering trainings for the staff of the different national and international grant recipients, to explain the formal requirements and illustrate them with the help of practical examples.
The training is intended to help every participating organisation to successfully comply with all of IKI’s requirements as efficiently as possible. To this end, all phases of the project cycle – from submitting a funding application to the audit of the final report – will be covered, with regard to the following questions:
Participation in the trainings is free and has no influence on the approval procedures of funding applications. Travel and accommodation costs must be paid by the participants themselves.
