Knowing what, how and where – IKI's knowledge platforms

In order to combat climate change, adapt to its impacts or stop the loss of biodiversity, people need knowledge. This ranges from knowledge about possible climate change scenarios in a region, to knowledge about methods of coastal protection, or knowledge about energy efficiency in buildings. Numerous institutions all over the world deal with these and many other important topics. But how can we enhance and spread this treasure-trove of knowledge, bring together experiences and foster exchange?

Several projects of the International Climate Initiative (IKI) are addressing this question. They have taken it upon themselves to facilitate the identification of lessons learned and the management of knowledge on a global scale. These projects are feeding information and experiences on diverse topics into knowledge platforms, presenting them in a systematic way and making them available online to all those interested.

You can find an overview of these knowledge platforms on the IKI website
