Supporting low-carbon development through a green economy (PAGE)

Objective and activities

The project supports the BMUB in the follow-up processes surrounding Rio +20 and in all green economy topics. In addition, the project provides assistance in designing the economic framework for a low-carbon, green economy with a particular focus on fiscal policy. It provides advisory services to eight partner countries on green economy strategies and policies. The project also actively contributes to the Partnership for Action on Green Economy (PAGE) and works closely with other global initiatives, such as the Green Growth Knowledge Platform (GGKP), and different programmes within the partner countries. The aim is to actively support the involvement of all partner countries in regional and international events and initiatives. GIZ and UNEP are jointly implementing the project.

The activities build upon a previous IKI project: Supporting low-carbon development through a green economy
