Tree species prioritisation: From suitability to context-responsive selection

Successful restoration projects validate, rank and narrow lists of biophysically suited tree species through transparent and practical processes. Such processes incorporate distinct stakeholders including women, youth and marginalized groups in tree species prioritization decisions.

The masterclass will explore practical approaches to weighting ecological, stakeholder and livelihood preferences, while embedding gender and social inclusion into species selection processes.
