Youth-led initiatives for gender-responsive climate action and participation in marginalized communities
Youth, particularly women and girls in climate-prone regions, are disproportionately affected during climate crises in Indonesia. The project addresses gender-based disparities in policy implementation and the lack of involvement of youth leaders in climate resilience. In doing so, the it invites youth-led organisations and young climate advocates, particularly from marginalised communities, to participate in a call for proposals to submit gender-responsive climate action projects. These projects must focus on the Timor Tengah Selatan, Lembata, Manggarai, and Nagekeo districts, and will be supported by Plan Indonesia with capacity building and technical assistance during their implementation.
