IKI High Level Event: Closing the gap: A fast track for climate action and finance
Successful climate action will crucially depend on cooperation between industrialized and developing countries and emerging economies, as well as between the public and private sphere. However, aligning economic growth, industrial development and climate and nature action is a demanding task. As important enabler for integrated climate and biodiversity action in developing countries and emerging economies, accessibility and availability of climate and green finance play a crucial role. The event will focus on policies and best practices to facilitate the connection between these fields, as well as exploring ways to foster partnerships between public and private actors.

During the event the Thematic Call of the International Climate Initiative for developing and emerging countries is launched.
As an important climate and biodiversity finance instrument, the IKI has a 15-year track record in supporting and financing climate and biodiversity action of partner countries globally
