Launch of the Gender Community of Practice
The IKI Gender Community of Practice (IKI G-CoP) is a format designed to support implementing organisations and enhance knowledge exchange and lessons learned regarding their experiences in implementing the IKI gender strategy and promoting gender justice within their projects.
Our goal is to achieve this through an iterative and participatory approach in establishing and further developing the G-CoP. In practice, this means that while we at IKI Office provide a rough framework for the G-CoP, we collaborate with IKI implementers to identify and develop precise activities, services and topics. We see ourselves primarily as "facilitators", fostering exchange and learning among the projects while deliberately ceding control of the content to a considerable extent to the projects themselves. Interested IKI projects can be involved in various ways and even take on moderation roles.
The IKI G-CoP will be a regular and interactive event open for all IKI implementing organisations, co-hosted by the IKI Office and IKI implementers.
The preliminary Agenda:
- Welcome: Introduction of the hosts / The reason for being here? / What is the IKI Gender Community of Practice?
- Lecture and discussion: Tools & Approaches for Successful Integration of Gender Justice into Programming, Speaker: Zvjezdana Batkovic, Gender Lead, CARE Germany e. V.
- Next steps: Networking in Practice: Sharing, Discussing and Building Capacities / When will we meet again?
The IKI Genderteam is excited to celebrate the official launch and to shape the IKI G-CoP together with you!
