Evaluation of the IKI Medium Grants – Key findings, voices from stakeholders and discussions of lessons learnt
The IKI Medium Grants (IMG), launched in 2020, is one of IKI's funding instruments to support innovative bottom-up contributions from civil society to climate action and biodiversity conservation. After four years of implementation and at a time when the first projects are coming to an end, the IKI IMG was subject to an in-house mid-term evaluation. The theory-based evaluation, which included a desk study, semi-structured interviews, focus group discussions and three field studies, focused on the further development of the IKI Medium Grants as part of the IKI programme.
At this IKI Brown Bag Lunch, the IMG programme was briefly presented. We then showed and discussed the main findings of the evaluation, particularly with regard to sustainability and the value for civil society in the fight against climate change. Representatives from two projects shared their perspectives:
- EcoZones: Piloting an approach for co-designing, scaling and replicating inclusive climate action at the neighbourhood level
- Nature Conservation and Agroforestry Production in Rural Communities
We would like to thank all participants for their contributions and interest!
