Shaping the transformation together

[Translate to English:]

The IKI at the Export Dialogue 2023 in Hamburg

What requirements and opportunities does the climate crisis bring along and what solutions are there? At the Export Dialogue 2023, actors from companies, science and politics followed the invitation of Euler Hermes Aktiengesellschaft to discuss the challenges of transformation in the export sector.

For the first time, the Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Climate Action (BMWK) also presented the International Climate Initiative (IKI). The funding programme is a component which, together with the export guarantees of the government (so-called Hermes Cover), can ensure sustainable solutions in the target countries and simultaneously limit the economic and political risks of the exporting bodies.

"With the IKI, we are creating the framework conditions for climate-friendly investments and exports in developing countries."
Dr Philipp Behrens, Head of the BMWK International Climate Initiative Division
