Deutsche Investitions- und Entwicklungsgesellschaft mbH (DEG) is implementing the programme “Climate Partnerships with the Private Sector” on behalf of the German Federal Environment Ministry. The goal is to mobilise the private sector as crucial actor in mitigating greenhouse gas emissions in developing countries and emerging markets. The programme aims at leveraging private sector investment flows as a driver to stimulate a low-carbon development process. The project enhances the transfer of technology and knowledge in the areas of renewable energies and energy efficiency.
