The County Government of Kisumu, Kenya, along with ICLEI Africa and the ICLEI World Secretariat, developed the County’s 100% Renewables Roadmap.
Given Kenya’s renewables-heavy electricity mix, the County prioritized improving access to reliable and clean electricity, as well as clean cooking, for improved socio-economic development. It prioritized the sectors of buildings and transportation for more focused interventions to improve the uptake of renewables.
