Ketumile Direng from Botswana's National Development Bank (NDB) explains the impact of working together with Germany's IKI Small Grants programme for local climate and biodiversity action. In 2023, NDB held a call for proposals, inviting smallholder farming businesses to apply for funds to transition to green farming practices. 59 businesses were selected, and have generated substantial impact - both in terms of saving costs and greenhouse gas emissions.
