From climate crisis to cash crops: Saffron and rose yield hope for Pakistan's farmers
In Chitral, northern Pakistan, the Aga Khan Foundation worked with IKI Small Grants to fund a programme with local cosmetics company North Naturals. Saffron and rose cultivation is now helping local communities fight climate change, and is empowering farmers to overcome financial barriers and build a sustainable future. The project is contributing to anchoring organic farming in Chitral district.
