Conserving the Atlantic Coastal Forests

The project aimed at assisting the Brazilian biodiversity foundation FUNBIO in establishing the Atlantic Forest Conservation Fund (AFCoF). The fund financed measures to conserve and restore the coastal forests in Brazil. Such measures included designating and establishing public and private protective areas, combating forest fires, carrying out reafforestation in buffer zones and ecological corridors, and promoting appropriate forms of management.
