Introducing climate-smart farming practices and solutions to reduce poverty
Extreme poverty, depleted resources, and the impacts of climate change are causing lower yields, conflicts, and migration in the northern provinces of the partner country. The project strengthens communities and civil society organisations through capacity building and pilot activities on the ground. It promotes good agricultural practices and increases production, especially in rice cultivation. A training centre and demonstration plots support farmers in the nine villages. The lessons learned and project results are intended to be applied in other areas.
