Redirect Investments for an Inclusive, Just Energy Transition (REDI4JET)
Indonesia faces a major challenge as it shifts to clean energy. The country needs higher investment to meet climate goals and ensure a fair transition for workers, communities, and regions that depend on fossil fuels. Public and private actors still lack the tools, coordination, and policies to use available finance effectively. The project supports to implement the JET-P agenda. It helps public institutions coordinate, provides guidance to improve planning, and develops rules that steer investment toward low-emission energy. It strengthens cooperation with financial institutions and businesses, supports incentives to lower investment risks, and assists in preparing concrete projects. The project focuses on regions most affected by the energy shift. Local authorities, companies, and communities work together to build resilient local economies. Lessons are shared across Indonesia and the region to enable others to learn and apply the results.
