Training Local "Gold Standard" Experts

The project supported to develop the carbon market, especially to improve the quality and sustainability of 'Clean Development Mechanism' (CDM). To this end, the project established a global network of regional Gold Standard managers who supported project developers on the ground through local stakeholder consultations, on-site audits and project visits. The project also trained the project developers as well as 'Designated National Authorities' (DNAs), non-governmental organizations, technical cooperation organizations, 'Designated Operational Entities' (DOEs) and retailers.
