Climate action in Brazilian cities - Launch of the Mapping and Catalog of Urban Climate Initiatives in Brazil (MCID and UCCRN-LA)
On 14 November 2025 (15:30–16:30) at the IBAM Pavilion, Blue Zone (COP30), the Brazilian Ministry of Cities (MCID) will host the panel “Climate Action in Brazilian Cities – Launch of the Mapping and Catalog of Urban Climate Initiatives in Brazil.”
The session will unveil two key publications showcasing innovative local strategies that advance climate mitigation and adaptation across Brazilian cities. Experts will discuss the main findings of the national mapping and highlight best practices identified in urban governance, resilience, and sustainability.
The ANDUS Project (IKI/BMWE) supported the development of both the catalog and the interactive online map, tools designed to inspire policymakers, planners, and civil society to accelerate urban climate transformation.
