Resilient Green Cities: Coping with Extreme Heat

Join us on 10 November 2025 (16:45–17:45) in the Green Zone, Auditório Jandaíra, for the panel “Resilient Green Cities: Coping with Extreme Heat.”

Organized by the Ministry of Environment and Climate Change (MMA), Ministry of Cities (MCID), Ministry of Science, Technology and Innovation (MCTI), the Cities Climate Finance Leadership Alliance (CCFLA), University of Brasília (UnB), and C40 Cities Network, the event will highlight the first-year results of Brazil’s Resilient Green Cities Programme (PCVR).

The session will discuss strategies to strengthen institutions and public policies that enhance urban resilience and climate adaptation. It will also include the launch of the PCVR base text and the mapping of urban climate initiatives. The ANDUS Project (IKI/BMWE) supported the programme’s development, including its participatory design, financing strategy, and management structure.
