Four new IKI projects launched
Here you will find an overview of the funding areas in which our latest projects have been launched.
Since 2008, the German Federal Government has been supporting climate action and biodiversity conversation through the International Climate Initiative (IKI). More than 1,000 projects in around 150 partner countries have been supported with a total of almost 7 billion euros.
Three of the new projects are intended to contribute to mitigating greenhouse gas emissions by focusing on different sectors. One project focuses on emission-free mobility in three African countries, one on the building sector, and one on sustainable cooling. The new project in funding area III aims to protect the Upper Guinea Forest in Liberia from further degradation.
An overview of the new projects can be found here:
New in funding area I: Mitigating greenhouse gas emissions
New in funding area III: Preserving and restoring carbon sinks
We look forward to working together and wish the IKI implementing organisations and their partners a good start to the project!
