In order to be in line with the Paris Agreement the EU has committed to achieving greenhouse gas neutrality by 2050 under the European Green Deal. This poses a challenge for some industry sectors, among them the cement sector. This study aims to identify and analyze key emerging technologies and asses their potential through scenario analysis. Furthermore, it proposes a concept for accelerating mitigation ambition and offer high-level policy recommendations
