Cover IKI Project Planning and Monitoring Guidelines

The guideline provides an overview of the IKI funding programme’s structure, results logic, and available funding instruments. It explains the Monitoring and Evaluation framework, including project- and programme-level monitoring, evaluation processes, and the integration of safeguards and gender considerations.

It offers guidance on designing results-oriented projects, developing results-based monitoring frameworks, selecting appropriate Standard Indicators (SIs) and Strategic Objectives (SOs), and aligning with IKI’s safeguards, gender, and knowledge management requirements.

It also outlines reporting requirements during project implementation and describes how evaluations are used for both accountability and learning.

Reading the guideline in full before submitting a project proposal is recommended. Projects can later return to specific chapters as needed—for example, during reporting or evaluation phases. Each section is designed to be self-contained and easy to navigate.
