Accelerating Indonesia’s Climate and Biodiversity Actions and Transformation – ACT Indonesia

Indonesia has adopted ambitious climate, biodiversity and energy transition targets. Weak coordination, limited sector alignment, and capacity gaps hold back progress. The project strengthens institutional and technical coordination at national and subnational levels for the integrated implementation of the NDC, NBSAP and NAP. It promotes evidence-based planning and reporting through harmonised data systems, implementation guidance, and gender-responsive capacity development. The project connects climate and biodiversity policies across government levels, making public interventions more effective and sustainable. It supports the shift towards inclusive, resilient and nature-positive development, supporting Indonesia to meet its national targets and reinforce its contribution to global climate and biodiversity goals.
