Conserving Virgin Forests in the Bikin Region

The project contributed to the long-term protection of the virgin forest in the Bikin region by preventing conventional logging. For this, the project partners established the granting of a special licence for forest by-products (also known as non-timber forest products). They also developed long-term solutions to protect the area, e.g. through management plans and by improving the income situation of local people.
