International and subnational mitigation action project (ISMAP)

Global greenhouse gas emissions have reached a peak in 2024. To keep the the 1.5°C target in reach the cooperation of a large number of partners is needed: states and cities as well as the private sector, science and civil society. The project supports the Federal Ministry for the Environment in activities to implement the Paris Agreement - on the one hand by providing advice on strategically important climate protection issues, and on the other by disseminating innovative approaches to climate protection, particularly in developing and emerging countries.
