Promoting resilience in households and communities vulnerable to climate change in Satkhira

The communities in Satkhira District in Bangladesh are highly vulnerable to climate change-related disasters, including droughts, cyclones, floods, and soil salinisation. , which impact agricultural production and livelihoods. The project promotes climate-resilient livelihoods, advocates for climate justice, and strengthens knowledge and awareness on climate risk management and adaptation. The project will inform 720 households about climate-adaptive livelihoods, support 36 village groups with capacity building, and submit 150 Right to Information requests to public authorities. Additionally, the project establishes several ‘Youth Climate Clubs’. Collaboration with various institutions facilitates the upscaling and replication of successful strategies.
