Smart and Climate Friendly Logistics in India
The decarbonisation of freight transport and logistics is essential for India to meet its NDC commitments. The project facilitates a shift to low-emission long distance transport solutions, the transition to renewable energy in freight transport and the deployment of innovative green technologies. It delivers three outputs: an open knowledge exchange platform, capacity building for training institutions and the development of green strategies for freight and logistics. By establishing knowledge networks, smart green solutions and a specialised training programme for policy makers and implementation authorities, the project strengthens India’s ability to achieve net-zero emissions.
