Using a theoretical model and empirical data, it shows how workforce gaps could slow emission reductions. The Labour Market Transition Potential Index evaluates countries’ readiness to provide skilled workers, highlighting barriers and the need for proactive planning to ensure sufficient skills for the energy transition.
