The mapping of actors and policies enables users, such as policy makers, to better understand the status quo of the policy and stakeholder landscape as well as policy making processes in a sector or thematic area. An actor and policy mapping can be a starting point for many activities related to climate policy planning and implementation but can also be used for other sectoral planning processes.
