Publikation "Climate and environmentally friendly reefers" Cover

The refrigerated shipping industry is at a turning point. With demand growing by 8% annually, and increasing scrutiny of refrigerants, particularly those containing PFAS (forever chemcials), there’s a clear need for more sustainable solutions. Without swift action, the industry will fail to meet the Paris Agreement and the IMO’s 2023 Strategy for GHG Reduction. The study presents detailed emissions models and emphasizes the need to transition to natural refrigerants.
