Green urban spaces have positive impacts not only on the conservation of flora and fauna, the reduction of temperature and greenhouse gas emissiones in  cities, but also on our mental and physical health. The Biodiver_City project advises relevant stakeholders in Costa Rica's Greater Metropolitan Area in taking advantage of nature's ecosystem services and taking them into account during urban development planning. The project contributes to better connectivity between natural areas and green urban areas by creating a green belt via interurban biological corridors.
