The Future of Tigers and Communities in Thailand’s Tiger Landscapes
Meet four local champions living and working around Thailand’s tiger landscapes—from Wasan, restoring forests with native trees in Kanchanaburi; Mother Tum, growing medicinal herbs near Huai Kha Khaeng; Wisarut, reconnecting people with forests through nature-based tourism; to Boonmee, creating value from keeping nature intact.
Through the Tiger Landscapes Investment Facility (TLIF), supported by Germany’s International Climate Initiative (IKI) and Cartier Philanthropy for People and Nature, UNDP and partners are working to encourage investment in local enterprises and nature-positive livelihoods around tiger landscapes.
Because when communities thrive alongside healthy forests, people, nature and tigers can thrive together.
