This report provides practical guidance for monitoring breeding and non-breeding waterbird populations at critical coastal wetland sites along the East Atlantic Flyway, with a focus on Western Africa. Developed under the CREAF project and authored by Marc van Roomen (Sovon Dutch Centre for Field Ornithology), it supports coordinated, long-term monitoring and forms part of the developing CREAF Monitoring Toolbox.
