COP26 | Leveraging MEA synergies: Peatland protection and restoration for climate outcomes
Ramsar, UNEP, BfN, the UNCCD; CBD; UNFCCC and GPI came together to explore common interests and areas of cooperation for peatland restoration among practitioners, donors, multilateral institutions and governments and highlighted the ongoing synergistic cooperation towards a common aim to save peatlands within the long-term objectives of each MEA. Notably, Peru, DRC and Germany shared their experience and how that work helped progress their commitments under several MEAs.
