Transforming Eastern Province of Rwanda through restoration and protection of indigenous trees
Rwanda Forestry Authority in partnership with a consortium team made up of GIZ, IUCN, WRI, FAO, WB and AUDA-NEPAD under the leadership of local communities and farmers, are implementing the Large-scale Forest Landscape Restoration Project under the AREECA programme. Through coordinated efforts, the project aims at restoring twenty-five thousand (25,000) hectares of degraded lands in the two districts of Kirehe and Nyagatare in Eastern part of Rwanda.
