Construction of a climate-friendly fish cold store in Kenya

Kenya has one of the most active fisheries sectors in the region. Against this backdrop, the Kenyan Ministry of Environment, Natural Resources and Regional Development and the Green Cooling Initiative launched a collaboration to promote sustainable cold storage solutions in the fisheries sector through the use of energy-efficient cold storage powered by renewable solar electricity and the use of cooling systems with natural, low-GWP refrigerants.
