"Defossilising Aviation with e-SAF" examines the role of synthetic e-SAF in transitioning aviation away from fossil fuels. Given the technical limitations of alternative propulsion systems, Sustainable Aviation Fuels (SAF) remain indispensable for defossilising aviation, particularly long-haul flights. The study accentuates the necessity of rapid expansion in e-SAF production, driven by industry and investors, once suitable political frameworks are in place.
